Warlord Titan No212 - Ira Deorum, Legio Phasmatis

Certificate Number: 212
Titan Name: Ira Deorum (Wrath of the Gods)
Pattern: Mars-Alpha
Head Unit: Mars-Alpha
Primary Armament: Reaver Laser Blasters and Belicosa Volcano Cannons
Princeps: Unknown
Titan Legio: The Legio Phasmatis (common name: The Grim Reapers)
Demi Legio: Demi Legio Odem Mortis
Battle Maniple Composition: Unknown

Owner: Nathanuel
Location:  California, USA

Comments: Ira Deorum, like many other titans of this dark legio, was thought destroyed in pursuit of the traitorous World Eaters legion soon after the breaking of the Siege of Terra. The Legio's origins, numbers, and home world remain shrouded in secrecy, but connections to Malcador the Sigillite have been suggested, with no confirmation. However, after the mysterious fall of Caliban, Ira Deorum has been sighted at numerous conflicts in close support of the Dark Angels highly elite terminator strike forces.

I finally finished the first stage of construction of my warlord Ira Deorum. I sent several pics with details of how I magnetized several of the parts.  Still a work in progress, but some of the assembly tricks may be useful to future Warlord owners.  (Can't wait to see the progress, TOC)

COMPLETED PICTURES

Ira Deorum stands tall and proud, ready to bring ruin to the foe.

The Princeps and Moderatii prepare for the Walk to come.  Well executed internals.

Lovely chain adornments for the Titan to serve as the banner.

The Titan Guard of the Legio Phasmatis mean business.

Is this not a beauty and majestic to behold?

All of the hard work and seemingly random colors at times have come together to make a cohesive and beautiful looking God-Engine.

Even without the Titan Guard this Titan won't need to fear many things.

Work in Progress:

Magnetizing the waist joint to make it easier to transport.

Pinned feet for extra strength.

Paint going down, with the Engine having a worn and weathered look.

Starting to really take shape.

Definitely need to keep those magnets apart while working with them.

Magnets everywhere!

The shoulder plates begin to see work.

The skeleton is fully assembled and her weapons have been wired.

Update Pictures:

Very phantom-like decals, appropriate, given the Legio name.

Looking very sharp

The green and gold trim complement each other very well.

Very good looking start to the gun shields.

Updated as of 29/02/16

Update Pictures:

Very good looking head unit.

Lovely marbling effect.

Getting the gun shields ready for war.

Very good weathering.

Excellent use of the decals following his previous work, and a good use of the center colors to tie in the shoulder pads with other plates.

Engine up to date as of 27/3/16

UPDATE PICTURES

Very beautiful looking heraldry on the Engine.  It stands out to mark the Titan's presence.

A close up of the heraldry shields.

Superb use of color and techniques in order to pick out details.

Ira Deorum standing tall and looking mean.

Engine up to date as of 9/5/16

  1. Lovely weathered superstructure look. Nice work. Familiar magnet use, I feel your pain, I had two snap together, shattering one! Novel arm magnet use on the horizontal rather than a physical pin, I'm still undecided.

  2. How solid are the arms with those magnets?

  4. I think I come look at this build once a day. Any way you could comment on how you did the "phantom" like decals or the technique for the green shielding? Such a cool build. Great work
