Warlord Titan Carapace Apocalypse Missile Launchers Unboxing

Today we unbox one of the Warlord's carapace weapon: the Apocalypse Missile Launchers.  Truthfully, this is probably the most simple kits to open up and get working on for the Warlord.


Each launcher comes bubble wrapped for protection.  They are actually GIANT chunks of resin.


There aren't many parts, and the missile heads are each a separate piece so that you can create different looks.

After cleaning and gate removal.

There wasn't a lot of flash on this kit and it was really easy to remove.  However, mould lines were a bit more prevalent in this kit than I would have expected for it being so new.  This weapon option for the Warlord is certainly easy to build and goes together quickly, which we'll cover in the build tutorial in a few days.

    Looks simple enough, I can see the utility of these in Apoc games to kill large swathes of Troops and light vehicles, but Titan vs Titan my go to is the triple Laser Blaster any day :)

      Yeah, they are fantastic shield strippers in AT though.
      Still can’t wait for Carapace Rotor cannons

      We found they can also help strip the void shields in 8th edition 40k as well, at least against the Warhounds and Reavers. Failed saves add up and once the void shields degrade, the Warlord's main weapons really shine. Against another Warlord though, nope.

      But if you are relying on getting wounds with this to degrade the Voids to the next profile down, surely one failed save on the 3D3 shot Turbo Laser with 2D6 damage each is going to degrade the Titan profile quicker than the 2 damage each one of these 12 shot weapons causes?

      But I guess you mean weight of reliable firepower wins overall, so 24 shots hitting is better averages than needing a lucky number of 2x 3D3 shots? (2 Triple Reaver Lasers Vs 2 Apoc Missile Launchers as Warlord Secondary Weapon choices).

      But if the next Walk UK uses AT rules then I can totally see the advantages and maybe will have to purchase a few ;)
