Comments: Mostly complete – I haven’t been able to make my mind up whether to do any weathering, and whether to do anything different with the ammo hopper on the gatling blaster or just leave it plain metal. Otherwise the only thing left is the lenses, and I’ve deliberately left those to do after weathering – if I ever actually do weathering.
It’s fully magnetised at the waist, the weapons and the head. The top of the head is magnetised so that the cockpit interior is viewable. I saw somebody else on here paint an enemy titan on the viewscreen which looked great, so I had a go at it myself and I’m quite pleased with how it came out. No alternative weapon options (yet), but it’s set up for them if I pick any up. I do really like the plasma annihilator and the quake cannon...
I mainly settled on the overall scheme by paining up a Titanicus test warlord – in fact four of them at once, and then mixing and matching my favourite set of armour panels to decide which version of the scheme to do on this big titan. I did this before the Loyalist Legio's book released, which shows Metalica using pretty much only red and black/white stripes. I’d seen plenty of Metalica titans in the past also using black/yellow stripes, and also there’s a few yellow and black/yellow striped bits on the titanicus transfer sheet, so that’s why they appear on my titan. I’ll probably dial back the yellow a bit on future titans but I think it looks cool so I don’t mind deviating a bit from the modern ‘official’ scheme.
The heraldry is based on the Adeptus Titanicus Metalica transfer sheet, but painted freehand.
No more imperium titans at the time of writing, but I do have some Lakar knights as allies, and currently working on a Revenant and Phantom for my Biel-Tan.
