A Tale of TOC Princeps - Week 10 - Then and Now - Series Final

Hello Titan Princeps and Fabricators All, welcome to the final installment of the Tale of TOC Princeps, a journey through the 'lockdown' with submissions from Princeps who were taking the opportunity of extra unplanned hobby time to progress with their Titan projects. And some great progress has been made.

With all series it is better to go out whilst people are still keen and not to wither on the vine as people return to a new standard of normal 2020AC (after Covid) and the UK has been relaxing the restrictions so some semblance of new normality is returning - so as a way of capping this series, we wish to show you how the Titan projects have progressed. Thank-you for reading along and following the progress, and if you have a Titan, get it registered, get it out and start your own fabrication journey (updating us along the way!)

Princeps Rob C - Princeps Rob was further along the fabrication than some and by week 6 had finished his Warlord Titan (812), 'Winged Annihilation', a fine Engine and a fine effort! Congratulations Princeps Rob!

Princeps Majoris Halfpenny - Princeps Halfpenny started the journey with a brand new Reaver out of the box, and a good scrub in the bath - and during Week 9 completed his Reaver with LEDs too. Congratulations Princeps Majoris Halfpenny! A fine addition to the Crucius Maniple.

Princeps John H - This is the point I got to when I had to stop painting due to issues beyond my control. Plan to finish it as soon as possible. Using new paints, oils and techniques made this a really enjoyable challenge and I’m very please with the stage I’m at. Really looking forward to seeing the end result. Next project will be Horus Heresy era Mechanicum. (And a fine job Princeps John, a great departure from your usual Legio Astorum Engines too! - TOC)

Princeps Tony H - Princeps Tony has progressed with an entire Maniple of Titans, albeit AT scale Titans! But also working on his full size Reaver. Angelic Redemption, name in place now and is done all but banner and pennants! Well done Princeps Tony, a great job.

Princeps Seniores Martin S - Princeps Martin started work on his Warlord... but the call of an even larger project to house his Titan Maniple was progressed from a lowly shed elevated to a superb gamesroom and Titan Hangar! Very impressive and great cabinets to show the Titans (left and right) and under games table storage for Horus Heresy and AT to boot. Very nice indeed, a worthy distraction!

Princeps Phil - Princeps Phil started out with only an undercoat on the Chaos Reaver and has progressed well with the fallen Engine, some superb weathering, chipped and rusty paint balanced with some chaotic mutations and brass work. Superb painting so far and well on the way to completion! Well done Princeps Phil!

Princeps Simon W - Princeps Simon started out with a rescue Reaver Titan so had the task of stripping and rebuilding parts before progressing with his fine Engine! And a great job so ready to Walk once again under a new banner of allegiance. Well done Princeps Simon. "Angelus Infernum joins its twin Angelus Mortis in service to the Warmaster. LUPERCAL!"

Princeps Majoris Siph - And I myself started with a fresh out of the box not yet washed Reaver and even though duty calls and knocked out six weeks of available progress, I have managed to progress the build stage almost to a point I can lay down the first Rites of Colour, however whilst I waited for glue to dry I did have a cheeky paint of a few bits like the Carapace! Soon she shall Walk! I had better think about registering this Engine too!

Thank-you to every Fabricator Princeps for their continued progress and submissions, thanks to the US TOC Team who updated us on their projects too, and look out for some similar Series posts in the future if the demand and to-do piles allow it!

Thank-you all for reading along with us on our journey. As always, stay safe, stay well and best wishes to you as you may find yourselves easing out of lockdown into a new normal.

Cheers, Princeps Majoris Siph, TOC UK/EUR Admin.

A Tale of TOC Princeps - Week 9

Hello Titan fans, another week of fabrication and more Titans undergoing the Rites of Construction from our Princeps fabricators. We are drawing nearer to a release of 'lockdown' this week in the UK and a return to a new normal and as such I will round these posts up next week with a final where we have got to and how far we have progressed with our Titan projects. I hope we have inspired at least on fabricator out there to get progressing with their own Titan projects, and from the number of scheduled registrations and update posts we have had arrive in the TOC noosphere, we know it has been a busy Titan time!

As always, stay safe, stay well and I hope your respective areas are driving towards a new normal at the end of this pandemic.

Princeps Majoris Halfpenny - Congratulations to Princeps Majoris Halfpenny, he completed his second Legio Crucius Reaver Titan, now named "Primus Secutar". In his own words - "Princeps Majoris Halfpenny would like to confirm the completion of Primus Secutar of Legio Crucius. The Titan has had the final coats of paint, and then decals added. I’ve made my own decals for the symbols and legends. The LED’s are built into the head, with the power supplied from sources in the torso. Really happy with the final results and look!"

Princeps Seniores Martin S - Whilst no Titans were progressed, the new Titan Hangar was made and the gamesroom progressed nicely. A very enviable space you have! TOC UK Staff are looking forward to having some games over at his Forge!

Princeps Phil - Phil decided to take it one step further it seems! Also an entire redecoration of his Titan Hangar and new shiny cabinets, they look superb and big enough for Warlord Titans! Progress has also continued on the Chaos Reaver, superb paint work and visage Phil has managed to do.

Princeps Simon W and Princeps Tony H have not progressed anything this week, busy with other hobby related stuff, 30K and whatnot - but Princeps Simon promises a complete Titan next week to end on a high!

Princeps Maximus Shadow - Our own TOC US Liege Lord ;) Shadow has been busy this week adding allied House Terryn Knights (I think) to Walk alongside his Legio Astorum Maniple for AT.

Princeps Majoris Siph - And I have had some cracking progress this week, after completing the internal paintwork last week I progressed by constructing the legs and torso and magnetised the arms to take the newly designed Battle Titan Weapons interchangeable with the Reaver and Warbringer. I also magnetised the waist for ease of transport.

Cheers, Princeps Majoris Siph, TOC Admin

A Tale of TOC Princeps - Week 8

Hello Titan Princeps and Fabricators All, welcome back to the ongoing series of posts detailing some of the TOC Members exploits during 'lockdown' and the progress with some of the Titan related hobby goodness...
Princeps Simon W - Small update this week. Crew finished and I began highlighting the gold trim. Also managed to paint 6 AT Warhounds for Legio Solaria (a small update and he finished SIX Titans! - TOC)

Princeps John H - I’m going to have to bow out of this wonderful tale due to changing circumstances. It’s nothing serious, I’m just unable to paint until I get my shed back. So I have managed to get a small amount done. Not totally finished the Daemon knee pad but it’s coming along, slowly. Need to do the teeth and eyes. To be honest if I sat down and had a good day I could get it done. But... that never happens. Once I get up and running again I’ll finish the Reaver!

Princeps Majoris Siph - And as Princeps John H has to bow out until his shed returns(?), I return with some hobby time after my operations in the "big smoke" and have progressed with the internal elements of the Reaver torso before sealing it all up so I can progress with spraying the exterior.

Princeps Majoris Halfpenny - All complete bar the Head and the Carapace... short and sweet. (Another great addition to the Legio Crucius from TOCs own Princeps Majoris Halfpenny, his sixth Titan! - TOC)

Another great round up of Titan goodness, I will aim to wrap up this canter through 'lockdown' hobby times in the next few weeks, as the UK starts to emerge from the darkness back into some semblance of the new normal. Don't worry, many many more Princeps have been working on Titans making the most of the unexpected free time some have had - tackling those 'miniature' projects they had been putting off - judging by the amount of registrations and updates we have received! May we wish you good health and stay safe and as always - may your reactors burn hot and your aim remain true!

Cheers, Princeps Majoris Siph, TOC UK/EUR Admin

A Tale of TOC Princeps - Week 7

Welcome back Princeps All, so week 7 eh? Hope you are all doing well, maybe a light at the end of the tunnel, certainly here in the UK there has been some easing of 'lockdown' measures and people are actively being encouraged to get back to work if that is possible - the service industry is largely shutdown still as are the schools, but a good Fabricator Princeps continues the Omnissiah's work regardless... another fine selection of Titan related progress to share, an one not Titan related but cool nevertheless.

Princeps Robert C - From the US Demi-Legio of TOC, Princeps Robert reported in, he wrote "Progress on Venator Saevus is accelerating". A great bold scheme with the black and white quartered designs and the green.

Princeps Majoris Halfpenny - Update - the as of yet unnamed Reaver has had the lower section build complete, with only the gold trim to have an addition gold added over the wash, and then highlights. The knee pistons need to have the details added. Weapons are on the way to be finished, with either a Battle Titan Laser Blaster and Chainfist, or a Dreadfire missile build. Reaver Astramos of Legio Crucius is busy 'cheque-ing' out the new sibling!

Princeps John H - This week I made no progress on my Chaos Reaver as I took a break and started on my Mechanicum force for Horus Heresy. Took time to read and research so now I have a good idea on what to get as soon as ForgeWorld open their doors. I did how ever build my first unit. Oh, and my house is really clean!

Princeps Senories Martin S - The unnamed 1:10000 Strike Cruiser is undergoing construction in the orbital ship yards.

Princeps Simon W - This week saw the start of the Reaver titan crew plus a added bonus of a trio of Reavers for my AT Legio Solaria maniple. And great work too Princeps Simon with the AT Maniple!

Princeps Tony H - Legio Metalica’s new AT Warlord Titan joining the Maniple's ranks. A great addition Princeps Tony, and by the looks of it, already in the fog of war ;)

So, that wraps up another week of progress from our Fabricator Princeps, stay safe all, and if you can, get back to work! :) I have now returned safe back home from operations and will once again take up the mantle to start on the Legio Astorum Reaver.

A Tale of TOC Princeps - Week 6

Hello all Princeps, continuing on the success of previous week's in 'Lockdown' fabrication, some of the fine TOC Fabricator Princeps have continued with progressing their Titans this week. Scroll down to see this week's efforts, and as always - stay safe, as my beloved Queen said in Her message on VE day "Never give up, never despair", and "the streets are not empty, they are filled with the love and the care that we have for each other". We at TOC wish you all good health and happier Titan times to come.

Princeps Simon W - Angelus Infernum really began to take shape this week, fingers crossed it shall be finished very soon and ready to serve the Warmaster.

Princeps John H - So this week I wanted to get the lower legs done. What a pain it was but I did it. All painted and the first part of the weathering done. Getting the shin guards done was a challenge as there is some over lapping but using a hair dryer to make the guards Malleable really helped. Once the Greaves and toe pistons were in, it’s a case of warming them up and fitting them. Happy with the results and looking forward to completing the legs fully next week.

Princeps Majoris Halfpenny - Legs coming along, toes are fixed into position, as well as the shin armour plates. Knee plates have had details picked out, scroll work to be completed this week. Head painted, checks to be tidied up, and led’s added this week.

Another good week of Titan progress, a few Princeps busy with entertaining the kids, playing AT rather than progressing more of the builds, everyone needs a change to avoid burn out. And of course, congrats to Princeps Rob C who last week completed his Warlord!

Stay safe, cheers,
Princeps Majoris Siph
