Update Warlord No.241 - Helios Iapetus, 8-8-16

BigJon sent some pictures our way regarding some very special projects he's set into motion on his lovely Warlord Titan:

"Another quick update.

Using magnets on the heads so the insides can be show off."

Making sure none of that lovely detail goes to waste.

  1. It never ceases to be that Forge World packs so much detail to an internal part of a model that you'll NEVER see unless you take great pains to make sure it can be shown off in some manner. Glad to see that you're keeping that internal detail available and using magnets to make sure you'll have a snug fit that protects things from gravity.

  2. Nice work man! I think it's fun to paint every last bit of a Titan, personally, even the parts no one will really see. I had a buddy ask me a while back why I didn't just glue the carapace and head into place and not paint the interior of my Warhound, and I just thought that there was no answer I could give him that he would understand....

I had a look at your blog, since I recently started on a Reaver - very helpful, thanks so much for sharing it. I'm hoping I don't run into the same kind of problems with paint pull you and Colonel H had!

At any rate, nice start to the Warlord - I'm jealous! Enjoy and please keep sharing!

  3. Thanks Dan. In order to hopefully cut down on that I"m taking a few extra steps that I hope help. I've washed it a second time with a cleaning agent then sprayed with a sealer. I just primed the endoskeleton, heads and weapons this evening, I will inspect for possible bubbles or rubbing them hit with a second coat
