Behind the Scenes- Where's My Titan? Round 2!

"How busy can you guys possibly be!?"

We imagine someone may have already asked that about how long it's taken us to get their Titan up.  If no one has, then we are grateful that you are such patient souls.  If you have, then we're here to explain why and also to apologize for it.

By now, most all of you will have seen the announcement from Warhammer Community about our 200 Titan celebration.  That coverage has helped us to go from 200 registered Titans to 231 in a very short amount of time.  Get this: that number is still growing!

Shadow has about another 10-15 new Engines and updates in his backlog (which he's been clearing out over the last three weeks already).  Drake has at least a month's worth of posts.  And Hertford has enough Knights to work on that an entire Household wouldn't stand up to the weight of firepower arrayed in all of those Banners.  In short, we have a BIG backlog.  And in the blogging realm, a big backlog can be a healthy backlog if you manage it correctly.

Every other day, with some rare exceptions, we post a new engine or an update for you.  It keeps the content fresh and constant.  More importantly, it puts the spotlight where it needs to be: on the Titans and the owners.  We post every other day so that an engine can have roughly 48 hours in the bright spotlight and get the credit it deserves.  We are working to keep up that pace, but will switch to a daily posting schedule (for a brief time) if the need comes.

We try our best to make sure the new and prospective members understand our situation and that it may take some time when the emails first get to us.  We don't always manage to say that because we are very busy individuals.  We have work, home, and family to take care of, and two of our TOC team have been very busy putting on the highly successful Walk 2018- UK.  Time has not been our ally for the last few months out of necessity.  With the Walk 2018- UK done, our UK/Europe side of things is about to pick up steam; while the US/Rest-of-world side takes a back seat as the Walk 2018- USA comes to the fore and the US/ROW engines get cleared out.

We do our best to balance the posts between staff and ensure that all of our members get the best treatment possible.  You are the beating heart of our hobby as Titan owners, and we want to do right by you.  We are committed to databasing the Engines that come our way, and that won't change.  We've been slow to respond because life gets in the way and our commitment to making TOC the best it can be sometimes shifts our priorities for a short time.

We are working to clear out that backlog and make sure you have your moment; that is our promise to you.

  4. Considering your constant rate of updates, I most certainly don't have any qualms about waiting for my Titan to appear - it's frankly exciting and encouraging to hear that there's so many others interested in this registration project, and that it's all alive and well.

I can confirm though, I heard about this whole operation through the Warhammer Community coverage - and, in fact, it was that coverage and the existence of this blog (and the pages and pages of inspiration contained within) that led to me finally pulling the trigger on my Warhound project that I'd always wanted to start.

    Keep up the great work!
