TOC Walk- Battle for the Citadel Official Announcement! October 13-14, 2018

Princeps and Scions, we finally get to make the official announcement about the TOC Walk- Battle for the Citadel!

We are ecstatic to announce a brand new event in the United States, to be held at the newly opened Warhammer Citadel! Join us for a weekend of gaming on October 13-14, 2018 as TOC hosts its very first campaign weekend. Like other Walk events, all TOC members are eligible to participate in Saturday's main battle.  Sunday will see the battlefield break down into smaller skirmishes AND expand participation at the same time.  Your actions will determine the fate of the Citadel.

Battlefield:
We've been given access to pretty much the entirety of the Citadel as we need it for the event, with plenty of table space.  Terrain, boards, and the (in)famous TOC drop cloth will be there so that we can make Grapevine, TX tremble.

Venue:
The event will be held at the Warhammer Citadel in Grapevine, TX.

The address is:

616 S. Main St.
Grapevine, TX 76051

Setup will begin at 10 AM on Saturday, with dice dropping at 11 AM.  We'll be taking an hour long lunch break, with potential for food provided by TOC, and we'll game until 8 PM to determine the first stage of the campaign.  For lunch, there are also many local eateries located very close to the store.

Sunday morning sees the smaller skirmishes break out as we set up at 10 AM, begin at 11 PM, and game until 6 PM to determine the final fate of the Citadel.

This event may also see "Challenge a Titan Owner" the night before, and there will be extra side games of Adeptus Titanicus.

Tickets:
This event is completely FREE for all players.  You pay nothing due to the wonderful partnership that GW has provided us for this event.

Ruleset:
The TOC Walk- Battle for the Citadel is played using 8th edition custom scenarios.  Players will receive the main battle scenario in advance of the date so that they may be familiar with the rules and force makeup.

We will also be allowing Titans to rejoin the the game when destroyed (through a special rule) so it should equate to a day of continuous gaming.

Limitations and restrictions:
All forces must be comprised of Titans, TOC registered super-heavies, Knight Banners, or other suitable models (with prior permission), and their support type elements for the Saturday portion of the event.  The Sunday event will allow non-TOC registered engines and forces that meet the above description to join.  Non-Citadel or Forge World models will not be allowed at this event.  Players that wish to enter, but have not joined TOC may be granted access to the event with proof of authenticity of their models.

Not a member and want to join?  Just head here to get started.

  1. Wish you every success for the inaugural US Walk, it was an excellent event our side of the pond. Glad to see the TOC cloth map is getting its air miles too ;) I look forward to the posts detailing your terrain building efforts to out do Drake? Ha ha

    1. Siph, this actually isn't the inaugural US Walk. It's just the first one at the Citadel. Last year we had our very first TOC event in New Orleans, the Walk 2017- USA. This year the US has two events going.

Unfortunately, the cloth map I have on my end isn't the same one as Drake's. It's just a drop cloth that I'm slowly turning into something that can be used for floor wars. We'll have access to the tables at the Citadel and their terrain, so we likely won't need the drop cloth or any of the TOC terrain.

    2. My bad :( totally forgot that one! Aye, brain drained after all that fun in Milton Keynes! Ha ha. Will they have tables big enough? I mean 36ft x 16ft seemed crowded at times ;)

    3. Maybe it’s time for an Events tab on the Page Navigation bar with links to past and present TOC events?

    4. You're more than allowed for have a drained brain after all that fun. It looks like you guys had a legitimate blast over there. I'm hoping to see the Walk 2018- USA and TOC Walk- Battle for the Citadel meet that level of fun and success.

As far as the table size, the Walk 2018 may be a bit crowded, but that's why the drop cloth is on standby. For the Battle for the Citadel, we should be in good stead. I've been working with the store managers for both locations (the beauty of linking up with GW this year) to make sure that we have what we need. They've both been very amazing and accommodating and they are pretty much giving the inmates the keys to the asylum. :)

And Events tab, eh? I love the sound of that. Let's see what we can do.

  2. Really want to come, and it would provide motivation to finally finish up my engines (way too long working on them already) but it's the same week I will be doing a family reunion :( Hopefully next year.
