Adeptus Titanicus Legio Fortidus Review

Hi all

Here is a look at Legio Fortidus Rules within Doom of Molech, these are just a summary to give you a taste. Full rules are within the book itself. This is on sale now, so go and buy it.

Legio Fortidus (Dauntless)

This ancient Legio really took the full force of the traitorous actions of the Horus Heresy when the betrayal was revealed. Fortidus was heavily depleted following the civil war on mars (I believe it was mentioned in Mechanicum and Vengeful Spirit), but still made a good show of themselves out in the stars away from Sol.
They seek vengeance. The Legion has been effected by Horus’ actions mentally, with some Princeps renaming Engines and others equipping more destructive/visceral weaponry to better suit their altered temperament.

Traits:
Children of Mars: Negative modifiers to their command checks are ignored. This is due to the fact that Fortidus is one of the most Ancient and Experienced of Titan Legios. It is a pretty good rule to have, especially after taking some headshots.

Lost Sons: Cogs of the Omnissiah this is a good one. Soooo, pick a Battleline, then swap a Mandatory Engine out for any other Engine. Want a Venator Battline with a Warlord replacing the Reaver (and acting as the Reaver for Battleline boon purposes), you can do it! Fancy a Corsair Battleline with an ultra side-steppy Warhound, you got it. Fancy a Myrmidom Maniple with 3 Warlords and nought else, you have it!! There could be some fantastic combinations here.

Stratagem:
For the Red Planet: This could be a handy ace to have in your pocket when you want to get that last little bit of awesome from an Engine on it’s last legs. For a game turn the Engine can ignore some critical damage.

Red Skies: Oh dear! Red Skies at Night, Princeps Delight. This trait is straight out of the films. The fantastic moment when you see the noble sacrifice of a main character when he knows his time is up, he’s got a grenade belt with all pins taken out whilst bleeding out with a smile on his face, or the starship Captain who has redlined his Reactor and opened all fuel valves for one last act of vengeance. This is that rule. On certain rolls on the catastrophic damage chart, the scale of the Titan is increased by a satisfying amount for working out radius of damage etc.

Princeps Seniores’ personal Traits.
Broken by Treachery: He/She is rolling up their sleeves and looking for the biggest Titan in the bar. This gives a decent boon for the first attack roll of the game. Re-rolls yo hit can be made with a few other restrictions.

Immortal of Mars: The Princeps has some extra resilience against damage to the head and the effects of Critical damage.

Soldier of the Crusade: Additional Stratagem point to the Force.

Well they have a strong set of rules. They are really lead by vengeance heart and soul, these rules really showcase this too.
