Nope, that's not coming down!

Weep and tremble!  It's got servos!

UPDATE PHOTOS:

Now might be a good time to run!

The early stages of painting the Princeps.  Very well done.

A mighty looking engine.

Love the etched runes and chains on the Belicosa.

Engine up to date as of 28-11-19

  1. Love the shattered earth tile and the pose of the legs. It's probably worth a pin vertically up through the knee cog into the thigh to prevent rotation at the knee also. Awesome use of servo motors - and app controlled! Tell us more!

    2. Spot on! Each knee has one pin vertically through the "axle", and one to cement the position once it was set. There are six servos: head, torso, both shoulders, both arms, and it should have all of them moving (plus sound effects) when finished

    1. So it is! The tablet is running a custom app, connected to both the six servos in the model, and the wireless Bluetooth speaker hidden in the base

  3. This needs a youtube video at end for presentation and demonstration. As well you deserve an award by the emperor

  4. The good old Arduino UNO R3.
Even in the grim darkness of far future, this Microcontroller is reliable. :-)
