Comments: This time I have recreated the lost engine Gladius Lucida of the War Gryphons, who fought and died defending the Paramar Nexus against the traitors of Legio Fureans in the early days of the Horus Heresy. Some say her hull was salvaged, reconsecrated and put back into service… none know for sure, but we do know her name is etched in the hall of glory back home on Gryphonne IV.

I tried to painstakingly recreate the art from HH book 3, but of course the art was a right profile shot so I had total freedom on her left side. All the grey armour is mottled through 5 shades using a trusty makeup brush (my new favourite tool!) for quite a subtle effect.
