Update - Warlord Titan No.1674 - Lux Tenebris, Legio Astorum

Princeps Dan has been busy getting ready Lux Tenebris ready to walk. Dan has provided some great assembly shots and the notes on assembly.

An 80/20 jig was constructed to hold the hips level and at the desired height while the legs were being built.  This allowed experimentation in positioning and posing various stances, before settling on a right-leg-extended pose

A ¼” steel pin was run through the pelvis piece and into each of the hip ball joints.  This interface will bear all of the weight of the titan, so I wanted to ensure it was as robust as possible.

Holes pre-drilled in the feet and toes.  1/8” steel pin was inserted through the foot and into the tibia after the foot and tibia were glued together using a fast-setting urethane.  Toes and the toe actuators will be pinned after painting, to ensure access to faces that will be hidden or hard to access after completing assembly

Knee joints were pinned with a 1/8” steel pin to support load; these joints are also glued, and are not intended to move

Top of the pelvis was bored to accept a ¾” magnet, with a mating magnet to be placed on the torso

All armor plates have been magnetized for removal

All magnets used are nickel-plated Neodymium.
