Comments: Equipped for a commanding role, Martis Rex has acted as the Lead engine of the Legio Evictus Regenatoris since the days of the Great Scouring, and its current Princeps, is the 42nd Princeps to hold command. Equipped with paired Apocalypse Missile Launchers and a Mori Quake Cannon, Martis Rex delivers punishing long range salvoes weakening the enemy, while establishing command of the battlefield, before closing for the personal kill with its Belicosa Volcano Cannon.
Notable battles include the Battle for the NOVAcon Plateau, where Martis Rex led a mixed force of various Legios against a Traitor Mechanicum cohort of engines. During the battle, Princeps Stern acted as Princeps Senoris for the entire loyalist force, and personally accounted for the destruction of a warhound and two warlord titans, one of which was his opposite number on the Traitor Mechanicus' side. Along with severely damaging other enemy titans, leaving them to be finished off by allies, Martis Rex gave an inspiring account of itself as befits the role of Princeps Senoris of an entire Legio.
During the Battle for the Hollow Hive on Macharan IV Martis Rex lead an entire maniple of the Legio in stalwart defence of the Hollow Hive against wave after wave of corrupted titans and knights. Accounting for numerous Warhound kills and a possessed Reaver, Martis Rex acted as an anchor on the western flank of the Hollow Hive leading from the front until the blast from an enemy Reaver’s volcano cannon dealt it a near mortal blow. In spite of this the Imperial forces were able to hold their ground, until the final withdrawal was complete. Martis Rex was also recovered before the Hive fell.
