Comments:  I got myself a present for Christmas – a quite beaten looking Chaos Warhound Titan. The previous owner had attempted to scour the taint of Chaos from the engine, sanding off the chaos star on the carapace and the ridges on the head and filling holes with modelling putty. Luckily, the big leg armour plates were still intact. At first, I tried to separate the putty from the resin by repeatedly freezing the Titan (too bad I didn’t take photos of a Titan sitting in my freezer, in the middle of frozen food!), but with no success. I could restore some battle damage with my hobby knife, but most would have to painted on later. To restore the carapace, I first used my grinding tool to cut new trim, then I sketched a rough 8 pointed star on top and then went to work with modelling putty myself. I haven’t done much sculpting before, so I’m really happy how it turned out! I dediced not to re-sculpt the head ridges and went for a partial Chaos star instead. I also added new trim on the upper leg plates. When I was done sculpting, I chose a pair of fitting weapons and fixed the arm magnets so it can freely swap weapons with my other Warhound. For this engine, I choose the turbo-laser destructor for breaking open fortifications or armoured transports, and the inferno gun to clear out anyone hiding within. I took my time painting up the Titan over the course of several weeks, but now it is restored in all of its glory, ready to lay waste in the name of the dark gods.
