Yesterday I attended the FW openday 2017. It was a interesting day, quite lacking on new models (mainly because a lot of the models were released on the day), but great on banter with the designers.
The news I have gleaned on Adeptus Titanicus (AT) comes from Andy Hoare, Chris Drew, Luke Blick, and Tony Cottrell. It was also great to see James Hewitt at the event as a civie.
- Necromunda has NOT taken AT's slot. Necromunda was always planned for Christmas 2017.
- The Modular terrain is something that Chris Drew is very proud of. It will scale perfectly by combining kits.
- AT artwork is being completed they only had a few shots of God Breakers titans on the computers (nothing really new).
- The Models are done (Titans)
- No new titans have been designed as yet (But Chris Drew would love to do one). Expect to see the current Titan classes (Warlord, Reaver, and Warhound).
- Andy Hoare and Tony Cottrell would not be drawn on a date. He doesn't want to create more disappointment if its missed again.
- The key delays are the production and release slots (as these are decided outside the studio)
- The whole team WANT the game to be released. They are Very Proud of the game!
So that's it, the next open day is the 40K one in October/November. So i expect no new news until then.

They kept us in the dark long enough. Glad to hear some updates on it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Col. I was disappointed when I heard Necro was next and felt it kicked the release of AT back, glad to hear that's not the case.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for it now. I am so excited to have a bash at a War Maniple :)
