Here is a look at Legio Crucius Rules found within Doom of Molech, these are just a summary to give you a taste. Full rules are within the book itself obviously, so go and get it!
Legio Crucius (Warmongers)
Traits:
Forgeborn: This Trait can be used in the first few rounds of a game, and can be used on any Titan of Legio Crucius making a repair roll; allows any dice roll of ‘1’ to be rerolled.
Pride of Ryza: This trait is designed to be used during either the Damage Control phase, or when making a Repair Roll as part of an Emergency Repair Order. When a Titan of a Legio Crucius rolls a certain value on the Servitor Clades dice roll and it is used to vent Plasma, additional venting takes place. Brilliant for those hot Engines out there sporting draining weapons.
Both Traits appear to be extremely beneficial to Legio Crucius players! I can see the second trait, being able potentially vent more Plasma from the Reactor level will allow Princeps to push the reactor a little more to sneak in an extra Volcano shot – or push them further for Void saves.
Legio Specific Wargear:
Terminus Override Mechanisms: This Wargear option can be equipped to any titan for a points cost. This will allow the Titan of Legio Crucius to negate the first time the player would need to roll on the Reactor Overload table. Instead of rolling, the Titan is automatically given a Shutdown order instead. This can only be triggered once.
Bi-Folded power Containment: This Wargear option can be equipped to any titan for a points cost. When firing a weapon with the Draining Trait, this trait allows the Titan of Legio Crucius to roll a D6 to see if the effects are reduced. In a certain dice range; the Titan can roll the Reactor dice twice, and pick the result they want. If, however the dice roll was a 1 it can be a whole lot worse!
The 2 Wargear Options seem to be quite useful in game terms – the Bi Folded Power Containment has a ‘shared risk’ element to it, but I like it! Also, I can see the benefit of the Terminus Overide Mechanism with regards the rolling on the Overload table. Definitely happy with these!
Legio Specific Princeps Seniores Personal Traits.
Collegia Lord: This trait comes into play when making Command Checks for the Princeps Senoires Titan, if a 9 or 10 is rolled, there is a big boon to issuing orders to the rest of the maniple.
Mechanicum Born: This gives a re-roll for a Servitor Clades in the Damage control phase.
Black Banner: If the Princeps battlegroup does not have a Tertiary Objective (either mission or a Stratagem) its gains the Salvation of the Crucius Tertiary Objective. This grants a few extra VPs if this objective is met.
Wow, I think all 3 of very good Traits, my favourite is the first, allowing for the order to be given if the Command Roll for the Princeps Seniores is either a 9 or 10 - in certain circumstances this could be beneficial – either getting several units to move forward quicker, or getting first fire in with multiple units.
