Germany hasn't had anything to report this time around and our servitors in the UK are working with the resident Tech Priests to revise the data for a different level of display. Soon other nations will also have their own maps. Exciting times indeed, unless you are one of the servitors.
Global Titans and Control
No new nations have joined since our update in March, but new Titans continue to reinforce each nation. Australia and Canada have both received large amounts of reinforcement.
Reinforcements are one-sided though since the control of nations went unchanged.
United States Titans and Control
A large number of reinforcements entered the United States, particularly in California and Virginia. Overall the growth in the United States these last six months has come on the eastern side of the country, with new States lighting up the map.
Reinforcements are one-sided though since the control of States went unchanged except those that are new to this update.
We'll continue to update the Global Battlefield every few months and as different nations exceed the 15 Titan threshold they'll receive their own maps and update the system by which we break down each nation's own regional balance.
Great work Shadow! Love stuff like this, Traitors need to step up their game ;)
ReplyDeleteAgree... it is very interesting to follow the deployment. But it is a bit unevenly balanced. I think it might have to do with the titans models being made as loyalist.. if there were more chaos models it might inspire more people do to chaos factions.
DeleteAgis,
DeleteIf it helps I'm the one who maintains the battlefield maps and the database that feeds it. When a Titan is marked as a Traitor Legio we do mark it for Traitor as well (unless the owner says otherwise), even if the Titan is of Loyalist make. The UK, while still mostly Loyalist, has a stronger number of Traitors.
But I do agree that it might tilt things if more Chaos options were made available.
I think you are doing a fantastic job with this. It adds another dimension to the club, not just showing the pictures of the titans but also seeing their geographic deployment. When the choas warhound and reaver was released that was what got me into collecting titans. They look at bit more intimidating than the clean imperial versions which suited me. Now as things has progressed and most titans are primarily made for HH there is no real difference between the loyalists and traitors as far as the models go. Even so it is interesting that most people choose to paint their titans in a loyalist legion scheme and not a traitor legion (did not mean to imply that TOC was registering the titans on the models make). Keep up the good work. Looking forward to seeing the updates for Europe.
DeleteNo harm done. I realized your statement wasn't an implication, but rather an observation. And it's one I feel is legitimate. I just wanted to let you know we at least take steps to make sure Traitor Legion engines aren't assigned the wrong loyalty by dint of Loyalist make.
DeleteSo, bring on the Chaos Warlord and Warbringer!!! FW has done great with the Titans.
As for Euro updates, we'll tackle them when there are good changes to report and once we revise how we are reporting the UK Titans.
I never thought about, if my legion was a traitor or loyalist legion. I just bought them to paint them in my own scheme and lore. But now looking at the map and reading Agis first comment I agree. If I look at the lore I am creating for my legion, it only makes sense that it would be a traitor legion. But I didn't go for the chaos models for 2 reason; there are no warlord and warbringer model, and I wont try to custom make one to fit the rest. And I don't really like the chaos versions either.
DeleteLooks like I should update my legion in a mail, so it can join the chaos forces!
Its a great idea to make such a map!
The map idea has been Drake's from the start. I'm just our GIS guy making it function right now. We're glad that you like it and no fear that we'll continue to support it.
DeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteAs someone that lives in the US (being much larger than Western Europe), this is a great tool to get some situational awareness of the other owners.
