Comments: The last engine of a long forgotten loyalist Legio, the Rat King stood immobile in the depths of its Forge Hive slowly becoming overgrown by the hive gangers that made it their home. (The head of the titan is a custom 3D printed part that I sculpted myself.) I was inspired to create this titan by the idea that a Titan is like a moving castle, I wanted something that had crew members scuttling all over it, firing down at enemy troops below and dropping boiling tar on them.  Still a work in progress but I'm using lockdown to get as much done as possible.

Only a Battle Titan Volcano Cannon at this stage, but an interesting take on carapace weaponry - a redoubt or castle for the Hive Gangers.

Adapted and gantries fitted whilst the titan was in deep hibernation abandoned within the hive forge by long dead Tech adepts - what disaster befell the original Legio?

After she had a bath of course. She’s a lady after all, needed to be clean before getting dressed.

18 01 2022 Update:

I managed to get all the panels up to tabletop standard in a frantic day of spraying during that window of no rain.

After that I got the body metals blocked in and did some early weathering on the legs, so it was time for a dry fit to check the pose.

She does have a head too but that’s not glued in yet for easier painting.

Hopefully have it totally finished within the next couple of weeks!

Comments: Legio Mortis Reaver "Miratrix Mori" [Rapturous Death] and it's maniple fought alongside the Fulgrim's 3rd Legion in numerous campaigns during the Great Crusade. The Princeps and the Mori's machine spirit, in particular, shared a similar battle doctrine, principles of martial prowess and strategic ingenuity with the Emperor's Children. Over time, they collectively honed their battle tactics fighting side by side in over a 1000 battles. 

By the time of the Horus Heresy, Miratrix Mori and it's crew had developed a unbreakable bond of allegiance with the Third Legion, so when those space marines fell to treachery, so did the titan. 

Rapturous Death and it's maniple went on to fight beside the traitor Emperor's Children in the battles of Isstvan III and V. It was during these confrontations that the other titans in the Mori's maniple were destroyed. 

Against the principles of the Collegia Titanica, but doubtless due to the corrupting powers of Chaos, the Mori formed new alliances with titans from other legios who themselves had fallen to the temptations of Slaanesh. Together with their space marine brothers, they waged glorious war in honour of the Prince of Pleasure.

The new battlegroup these fallen titans formed continued to fight alongside the Emperor's Children and the other traitors during the galactic civil war, the Siege of Terra, and in the 10,000 years since. 

Over that long period, titans from different Legio's continued to join the battlegroup, eventually leading to the formation of an entirely new Slaaneshi affiliated Legio. Now known as the Riotous Host, they all ultimately became terrifying sonic titans. 

Armed with hugely powerful, arcane weapons and arrayed in shocking, disturbing colours, the Riotous Host would go on to have a fearsome reputation. They appear from the warp during the most savage and ambitious of the Third Legion's most depraved wars and campaigns reaping horrific, excessive destruction on all in their path.
