Welcome back to our coverage of the Adeptus Titanicus
supplement Titandeath. The missions in the book reflect those
undertaken by the Loyalist and Traitor forces operating in the Beta-Garmon
cluster. Perhaps the briefest of our
reviews, the missions presented are thematic and excellent.
THE MISSIONS
There are a total of six missions contained in the
supplement, themed around the battles for Beta-Garmon. Each of these missions are designed for
narrative play with recommendations for point sizes. These values are meant to be guidelines
instead of actual hard values. The
missions can also be adapted to represent different warzones, especially when
used in conjunction with the special rules found in the appendices.
The missions in the book range from the opening of the war
to fights on the cusp of the void to the massive battles that defined the
campaign. Two of the missions are so
large that they move from a four foot by four foot table to a six foot by four
foot table commonly found in Warhammer 40,000 games. Not surprisingly, these battles take place on
the edges of Nyrcon City, where the fiercest fighting of the campaign occurred.
The book also includes a mission for The Titandeath battle
itself and provides for what is probably the most brutal mission in the game so
far. Players will
be able to fight with low gravity, dust clouds, deadly rain storms, and the
wreckage of fallen Titans that are still battling to their absolute last breath. Enhancing each of these missions are the two
to three paragraphs that describe the battle the missions portray.
Must know Astorum's aligned knightly houses and colors!
ReplyDeleteThey are in the book. However, there is only so much we can give out. :)
DeleteAstorum is aligned with House Terryn. It's show on the preview page on the web store.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't read the page. I was hoping it had the knight houses of Dutonis and their colors listed. Terryn was probably just the house they were assigned with for the campaign.
ReplyDeleteBrandon, I can say that Dutonis is not in there. Astorum has three that they are aligned with at Beta-Garmon. We're only staying tight lipped so that we don't give away too much and make anyone angry. Unfortunately, there were no paint scheme examples in the book beyond an example for Vyronii and Makabius. Knights got ZERO love in this book. :(
