It's been quite some time since we provided you with the maps for our old Global Battlefield. It's always been good to see where the membership is and who is in control of certain swathes of territory. Much like the Horus Heresy and the 41st Millennium we can draw the lines of battle that reflect your fight.
Does Germany fight for the Emperor? Does the UK follow the Warmaster? Global Battlefield showcases Terra's shifting allegiances and those of nations with large Titan contingents. Welcome to the Global Battlefield!

DeleteGive us some time to see what we can cook up. However, it may not be easy to do since the map may end up really cluttered or ineffective due to the scale. That or need so many maps as to be bulky.

You cold add some shields with the Titan legio symbols to the close ups. Just to show what legions are active in each area. But, as you say it might be a bit cluttered.

DeleteWe experimented with it some yesterday and we ran into the issues that we anticipated. Either the map becomes cluttered or it's really cumbersome because we'd need to do a ton of maps. However, we do not admit defeat easily or quickly and will continue to tinker with it. We like your idea and we'll definitely keep trying for you.

ReplyDeleteKim, your Firemasters can take some credit for that indeed. Of the nine Titan in Sweden, seven of them are Traitor engines, with three of them being from Suturvora. You have certainly helped the Warmaster gain the needed foothold.

ReplyDeleteIndeed. Drive the forces of the Warmaster back! Germany has 18 Titans, third most among the TOC nations.
DeleteCould be difficult, as Switzerland is also held by traitors. They could send reinforcements.
DeleteLooks amazing! but not entirely accurate, East Yorkshire on the map shows no titans, but I have one and I know of another that I've seen has a titan from there. Do you have someone who has gone through all the titans on the site and added it up to create this? Do you want someone to do so?

DeleteThis is based on our database and used the information as posted on the blog itself (except Germany which needed a serious re-work). This means that we are still trying to find consistency between what is put on the blog and what will work with the mapping. As such, you are correct that the map is not entirely accurate on the UK side. This is kind of a 2.0 version of the Global Battlefield and it is far from our final iteration. We'll be evolving this project as it goes.
