Adeptus Titanicus - Shadow and Iron - Legio Audax Rules

Hi all,

Here is a look at Legio Audax Rules in Shadow and Iron.  These are just a summary to give you a taste. Full rules are within the book itself, which is on pre-order today, so go get it!

Legio Audax, the Ember Wolves, is a rare Titan Legio which employs “solely Scout Class Titans within its hosts”.

Legion Traits

Among Prey: This trait only allows you to use scale six (6) or below in your Audax battle maniple. Even reinforcement Titans need to be scale six (6) or below. At this stage we hear all of you getting excited as it doesn’t just say “Warhounds” so we may see the Rapier or similar eventually :)  They can also take squadrons of five (5)!

Stalk Unseen: This trait gives makes it harder to be hit when in cover for the first round.

Legio Specific Wargear

Reinforced Plating: this pointed wargear can be fitted to Titans scale 6 or below. Attacks made against this Titan have 1 subtracted from attacking armour rolls.

Ursus Claws: Ursus claws aren’t just for Audax Engines and can be taken by other Titan Legions. Whoop! But, it should be noted that the Audax Ursus Claws have higher strength.

Legio Specific Princeps Seniores Personal Traits

Master of Ambush: this Seniores trait gives the lead Titan a boon to the Stalk Unseen Legio Trait.

Cull the Weak: a critically damaged hit location on an enemy Titan, if hit again, enables the firing Seniores to re-roll failed armour rolls.

Pack Alpha: gives a boon command checks to other Audax Engines within 3”.

Unique Legio Audax Maniple

Canis Light Maniple:

“Canis Light Maniples can only include Legio Audax Titans”. This is a hidden deployment style Maniple where a certain amount of pack ambush markers are placed first (more than 6” from the enemy’s deployment zone). Before the game starts the Titans are placed near one or more of these markers, but they need to conform to a target obscurity percentage to be able to be placed in these locations.

Our own Drake is really keen on this new Legio, and thinks it will be a great force to play with. He's already heard their siren call and is quite tempted by them!
