Comments: After 4 years of hard work, a partly painted Ira Metallum finally made her first outing at the Titan Owner's Club Walk in November 2022, then again at Beachhead 2023 in Bournemouth. She burned many traitor engines at both events and will be sure to make many more Engine kills in the future! Painting was finally completed in time for Ira Metallum to go on display alongside the Titan Owner's Club mega game at Warhammer Fest 2023 in Manchester, UK.

TOC Special Showcase - Imperator Titan No.1 - Ira Metallum, Legio Metalica - Part 3. Detailing and Crew

Welcome back to Part 3 of the TOC Special Showcase for Goddenzilla's immense Imperator Titan. Here at Titan Owners Club we put on the largest and most impressive Warhammer 40k / Horus Heresy scale Titan battles in the world. To ensure that the feel of the Warhammer Universe is maintained for the enjoyment of all players, we ask that all Titans with an official Forge World variant (Warlord, Warbringer-Nemesis, Reaver, Warhound, Revenant and Phantom) must have been produced by Forge World and be registered (or registration pending) on the Titan Owners Club Website.

Wholly 3D printed, 3rd party, recast and scratch-built Titans are not allowed at Titan Owners Club events due to the myriad of issues these present, good and bad, IP infringement or build quality, the list is endless and we are primarily in favour of supporting Forge World so we will hopefully see more titan related support and products developed - but our policy on Emperor Class Titans is that they can be invited to an event by the Titan Owners Club event team. Due to the dominance that large titans have on the battlefield, these will be limited or restricted from attending Titan Owners Club every event, and opponents will need to agree in advance, that they would be happy gaming against an Emperor Class Titan.

Such a massive model needs massive loads of detailing to look the part and as highly detailed as a Forge World Titan would be. Practical - nope, this is Warhammer 40K! Highly detailed Gothic Church on legs - yep, we can do that!

The Command Deck itself is a highly detailed and custom made from snippets from the Black Library novels, detailed with cres and Moderati and the Princeps Maximus suspended above in a force-field amniotic tank or suchlike!

In comparison to a 'normal' sized converted Warlord Titan head, this head is huge.

Gantries and AA Batteries ensure the titan is protected from smaller enemies too

Even a Techpriest Manipulus is included, I hope that 3.5in floppy disc on its belt contains the STC plans for this behemoth...

The main groin banner and a litany of this God Engine's battlefield glories over the millennia.

And as described by Goddenzilla, this massive Engine by necessity is transportable in pieces. It's still a full car load!

TOC Special Showcase - Imperator Titan No.1 - Ira Metallum, Legio Metalica - Part 2. Construction

Welcome back Princeps for Part 2 of the Imperator Titan No.1 Showcase feature. Today we will be looking at the actual build process and materials used by Goddenzilla to make this magnificent centrepiece Titan in a field of centrepiece models!

Although most of the miniature was constructed with lightweight materials, she still weighs in at approximately 30 Kg!  The majority of the weight was deliberately concentrated in the lower half of the titan for strength and stability.

The hollow body was built around a 'T' structure which funnels weight into the pelvis. The weight of the carapace and arms are also specifically designed to lock into this structure, adding further rigidity with their added weight!

The huge size of the Starshatter Plasma Annihilator is demonstrated here!

Although immense in size, no skipping on the detail

Clever sculpted and designed hip joints means no rotation in the hip axis for the top weight of the body.

Coming together nicely, bookcase for scale!

Here the process of sculpting one part and moulding many from that one original, here the inter-toe pieces.

Vulcan Mega Bolter shin guards protect the leg bastion doors.

Just painting the leg compared to a Warhound Titan shows the dedication to task Goddenzilla applied.
