Adeptus Titanicus - Something Wicked This Way Comes

As if it wasn't hot enough in here with the new Asterius Knights releasing from Forge World, the heat is REALLY getting turned up.

They are mean and they are coming.  They are vile and threw their lot in with the Warmaster.  And. They. Are. Coming!

Fureans leads the Traitor Legios on the cover of the upcoming book.  It contains background and rules for 11 Titan Legions, 12 Traitor Knight houses, and a collection of maniples and stratagems by which you'll take control of the galaxy in the Warmaster's name.

It gets "bigger" though:

Wielding a chainsword the size of a hab block and your choice of a Krius Siege Drill or Grav Imploder, the Warmaster Iconoclast Heavy Battle Titan is also coming.

On the smaller scale; transfer sheets for Fureans, Krytos, and Tempestus.

What do you think?  Ready to get the war going again?

There's also incoming stuff for Aeronautica Imperialis, something that will be touched in later in Adeptus Titanicast as the US Branch starts to consider the potential return of EPIC based on some of the things that we've seen.

Adeptus Titanicus - Traitor Legions Book Announced

Shadow and Princeps Lex have debated it a bit, especially when discussing the Warmaster Iconoclast, but now we have a good indicator of when the Traitor Legios book is coming.

We got word from Warhammer Community today about what's coming, and we certainly encourage you to visit their site so you can get even more full details.  Still, we're excited because there's quite a lot to unpack.

  •  That's a nasty (we say this in a nice way) looking cover.

  • Sixteen (16) Titan Legions, twelve (12) Knight Households, and nineteen (19) maniples to run!
    • All packed into one book and if the Loyalist Legios book is anything to go off of you'll be getting plenty more lore than normal (a page and a half per Legio versus only a third).
  • Warmaster Iconoclast stats

  • CORRUPTED TITANS!  Loyalists have had a little too much free reign in causing havoc on the battlefield with their Psi-Titans and now it's time for the Traitors to raise hell.

Excited yet?  If typical previews like this from GW are anything to go by then we can expect this book and the Warmaster Iconoclast to drop anywhere from the next one to five weeks.  Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Adeptus Titanicast - Time for Some Iconoclasm

Iconoclasm is nothing new to the Warhammer 40,000 setting and was quite prevalent even during the days of the Emperor's galaxy plundering.  Should we really be surprised about the fact a Titan is now the Warmaster Iconoclast?

Wait, missed the announcement?  Please see data inload before proceeding.

Not even remotely expected to be announced today, but quite harrowing in its own right.  So yeah, this thing actually oozes Warmaster-aligned feelings but it's going to be cool to have no matter what.  We'd suspected the Warmaster would get a variant based on the name of the box when it first came up, but we could not have guessed this thing would be a siege Titan!

This swaps one plasma weapon on the arm for a gigantic chainsword that is longer than a Knight is tall, and the other for either a siege drill or a grav weapon.  The Revelator missile launcher up top gets swapped out for the Cruciator gatling array which looks like a shield-stripper and light armor buster.  Of course it maintains all the shoulder weapon options of the standard Warmaster so it's definitely packing some heat.

What are your thoughts?  Excited to get one?  Our thinking is probably with the Traitor Legios book when it drops in the same vein the standard Warmaster came with the Loyalist Legios.
